Is your tank flooding, gargling or leaking?
The most common reason for this is a build up of condensation or vape liquid in the centre tube. It can be cleared quickly by flicking the device sharply downward a few times. When working with a brand new coil or newly primed coil, you may find you have to do this a couple of times before it settles down.
Leaking can happen is if the coil isn’t screwed in all the way, and liquid is seeping down through the base into the airflow ring.
To solve this, take the tank off the battery and turn it upside down. Then, unscrew the base of the tank from the rest of the tank and check if the coil is screwed firmly into the base. If not, remove and then refit the coil, tightening it to just finger tight.
If the problem persists, change the coil, as an older coil can also lead to leakage as the cotton breaks down with use. However, first make sure all the liquid is out of the base with a paper towel or by rinsing the base and leaving it to dry thoroughly.
Is your tank producing a burnt taste?
A burnt taste is normally caused due to the wicking material used in the coil beginning to 'dry burn'. To avoid this, ensure that you leave the tank, with the coil fitted and filled with e-liquid, to sit for 15-20 minutes before your first use.
Always make sure that your tank is well topped up and that there is sufficient e-liquid for the wicks to be fully saturated, and ensure that the adjustable airflow is opened up far enough to allow enough air to pass across the coil.
Finally, monitor the performance of the coil. Coils will typically last for around 5 fills before the wicking material begins to clog up. At this point, flavour and vapour production will being to decline and leaks can occur, eventually leading to a burnt taste. At this point, you should replace your coil.
Is your tank not producing any vapour?
This could caused by the coil not being screwed in all the way, or possibly by the coil having a fault with its internal wiring. We recommend changing the coil and ensuring that all connections are clean and free from any debris.
If possible, check the tank with another battery to confirm that the problem is with the tank or coil, and not with the battery you're using.
How do I clean my tank?
From time to time, your vape tank may need to be cleaned as e-liquid and condensation from the vapour tends to leave a residue inside the tank through use.
To clean, simply remove the tank base and the coil, and set the coil to one side. Rinse the base, tank chamber and mouth tip in warm water (no soap or detergent), then allow to stand to air-dry fully. Remove the mouth tip and clean out any condensation gathered in the mouth tip seat, then pop everything back together and you're good to go.
